I was checking out my Safeway Just For U prices to see if I had the price to get the Skippy peanut butter deal.  Happily, I did...and I noticed some other great Just For U prices and coordinating e-coupons!

Here's the GREAT part...for some reason it rings up all 3 pounds for a total of $0.99! That is just $0.33/lb. Talk about sweet.

It gets even sweeter if you use the $1.00 off $5.00 coupon from the Simple Nutrition pamphlet (I found mine at both customer service and at a display by the shopping carts).

Grocery Deals for the week of 4/-7

Even though I'm on vacation, I took a glance at the ads for this week. I just can't help myself.

Scolari's: I didn't see any screaming deals. (Let me know if you did...)

Smith's: The case lot sale is running again for the next two weeks! Although we can get better prices by using coupons combined with a sale, it is a nice way to buy in bulk at a good price.

For example, the pineapple at Smith's is $0.79/can with the case lot sale. Last week at Scolari's we could get it for $0.44/can with a coupon but we couldn't get 48 cans of it! I like to buy at the case lot sale and then maintain my supply with the deals I can get with coupons.

If you're curious to see how the Smith's prices compare to Wal-Mart and Costco...check out the Northern NV Price List for some comparisons. In most instances the Smith's case lot sale prices are lower.

One of the biggest differences in our ad this week is we get $10.00 in Kohl's rewards for every $50.00 spent! (March 17-21)
Last time this promo. ran I spent $50.00 at Safeway, got my $10.00 to Kohl's, and got a FREE tie at Kohl's for my brother on a mission. (I can admit that here because he'll never read it.)


It does state that the $50.00 excludes Safeway club card savings and Safeway coupons. There is no mention of manufacturer coupons. When I did it last I made sure my total was $50.00 AFTER coupons just to be safe but I got a LOT of stuff. I'm too chicken to try it at $50.00 before coupons and then not have it work.
