Wal-Mart Fabric 50% Off

If you're in the market for fabric, you may want to check out this deal sent to me by Janet:

Just wanted to let you know that I was at the Walmart on Northtowne today and they had all their fabric and ribbon (by the yard) on sale 50%. The store is closing October 12th. There is still a pretty good selection. I had to force myself to put some back because I had absolutely no use for it. I picked up fleece for blankets, some other fabric for pillowcases and aprons. I wish I had more to make because some of the little girl fabric was so stinking cute!

Thanks, Janet!

Walgreens Deals

I received this email from Heidi and had to share:

"Walgreens on Pyramid has Pampers size 7 on clearance for $2.97. Using the 15% off and coupons it is free or pretty close to it. I don't know anyone who needs that size, but thought I would just let you know."

Sweet, thanks Heidi! Clearance items are sometimes unreliable, so I probably wouldn't make a special trip, but if you are planning on shopping at Walgreens this week, I would certainly look for these!

If you aren't familiar with the 15% off coupon go HERE and to see all of the Walgreens deals this week (just keep scrolling down), go HERE.

Free Redbox Movie in Reno - August 2nd only

Attention Reno movie lovers:
On Monday August 2nd only, use promo
code: RBXRENO for a FREE one night rental.
Go ahead and tell your friends in Reno. What's the fun if you can't share it?

To use the code, do the following: on the first screen select “Rent With Promo, enter the code, choose your movie and swipe your debit or credit card (this is in case you don’t bring the movie back). They will put a $1 charge on your card to hold the movie, but if you return the movie by 9 pm the next day, the charge will be removed).

You can use 1 code for each debit/credit card that you have, so to rent multiple movies, just do the above process with each card.
(Thanks, Jenny!)

Save Mart Kellogg's Promo - Round 2

Whew! This morning's transaction wasn't so smooth. I think the cashier was having a VERY bad day. She was not nice at all. BEWARE.I got:

4 Cheez-its - $1.77 each
4 100 Calorie Snacks - $1.77 each
2 Keebler Cookies - $1.77 each
1 Gallon of milk - $2.59
2 bags of bananas - $0.65 each
2 folders - $0.25 each

I used:
2 $2/2 Cheez-its/school supplies
2 $2/2 100 Calorie Snacks/fruit
1 $2/2 Keebler Cookies/milk
$10 Catalina

Final price: $2.07 OOP and got $10 Catalina back

A friend went later today and the same cashier told her she had to buy $2.00 worth of the "other" item. I don't know if this was just a grouchy cashier talking or if the store is in fact requiring a $2.00 minimum purchase.

The coupons do not have a minimum amount listed and the bread and baggies don't even cost $2.00...Just a heads up in case you run into this!

Save Mart Kellogg's Promo (7/28-8/3)

Earlier this week I was on the fence about the Kellogg's deal running at Save Mart. I had just about decided not to do any Kellogg's deals until I found this little gem at the Raley's (center from of store in school bus display) on Vista. They also had some at the Save Mart on Kietzke, NOT at the Save Mart on Pyramid. This booklet has the following coupons (Save Mart prices in parentheses):

Save $2 on one gallon of milk WYB 2 Keebler cookies (Unknown price on milk)
Save $2 on one store brand coffee WYB 2 Kellogg's Nutri-Grain
Save $2 on school supplies WYB 2 Sunshine Cheez-it crackers (Folder $0.25)
Save $2 on one gallon of milk WYB 2 Keebler and/or Sunshine multi-packs
Save $2 on one 12-24 pack store brand water WYB 1 Special K cereal and 1 Special K protein product
Save $2 on store brand bread WYB 2 Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats (Bread $1.19)
Save $2 on Ocean Spray WYB 2 Kellogg's Mini-Wheats Cereals (Unknown price on OS)
Save $2 on store brand baggies WYB 2 Kellogg's Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, and/or Frosted Flakes (Baggies $1.79)
Save $2 on store brand bread WYB 2 Kellogg's fruit snacks (Bread $1.19)
Save $2 on fresh fruit WYB 2 Keebler and/or Sunshine Right Bites snacks
($0.37/lb. bananas, $0.77/lb. grapes...)

So basically the coupon value is $1.00 off per item plus the price of the "extra purchase" item (milk, school supplies, bread, fruit...)

I spent $2.27 on everything pictured below!I got:

2 Special K crackers - $1.77 each
$1.00/1 coupon attached to boxes
Final price: $0.77 each

2 100 calorie chocolate pretzels - $1.77 each
$2/2 WYB fresh fruit
Final price: $0.77 each

2 100 calorie cookies - $1.77 each
$2/2 WYB fresh fruit
Final price: $0.77 each

4 Cheese It crackers - $1.77 each
(2) $2/2 WYB school supplies
Final price: $0.77 each

And my "extra purchases" were:

Fresh fruit, bananas - $0.37/lb.
Final price: $0.74

Fresh fruit, grapes - $0.77/lb.
Final price: $1.35

School supplies, 2 folders - $0.25 each
Final price: $0.50

SUBTOTAL: $7.70 for 10 Kellogg promo items + $2.59 "extras" = $10.29

I wasn't sure how close I actually was to $10 and I had a $10 catalina, so for good measure I threw in:
2 loaves of bread - $0.99 each

GRAND TOTAL: $12.27 - $10 catalina = $2.27 OOP and got another $10 catalina back!

Even if this was my first transaction and I didn't have a catalina to roll, I would have paid $10.27 OOP and received a $10 catalina back.

The thing to remember with these coupons is to find the lowest price "extra purchase" items as possible.

Here's what I'm planning for round two tomorrow:

(4) 100 calorie snacks- $1.77 each
(2) $2/2 WYB fresh fruit
Final price: $0.77 each + ~$2.00 fruit

(2) Keebler Cookies - $1.77 each

$2/2 WYB milk
Final price: $0.77 + milk price ($2.50?)

(4) Cheez-it Crackers - $1.77 each
$2/2 WYB school supplies
Final price: $0.77 + $0.50 folders

Estimated total: $12.70 - $10 catalina = $2.70 OOP and another $10 back!

I'd love to hear what scenarios you come up with for this and how you do.

Old Navy - Additional 50% off Clearance

I went to get a $2.00 cami from Old Navy (Los Altos in Sparks) and was delightfully surprised to find their clearance items were an additional 50% off. A few of the things I got were:

Beach Towels - $1.98 (by the registers)
Boys' swim suits - $2.49
Women's shirts - $3.75
Women's jeans - $4.99
Baby Boy T-shirts - $1.49
and of course, the reason I was there in the first place
Woman's cami - $2.00 (on a table in the center)

I didn't use any coupons with this but if you want a $5.00 off $25.00 coupon go HERE.

You may want to call the store ahead of time if you're going to a different location. (Last week I had heard the clearance was 50% off Thursday night and when I got there Friday morning, it no longer was...and now it is again... CRAZY!)

Target - 75% off toys

The Reno Target on Virginia has toys marked down 75%! (I didn't check the store in Sparks. Their clearance is usually skimpy one aisle of 75% off toys according to Jill.) If you're out that way it may be worth a look. They had quite a bit when I was there this morning around 10:00 a.m.I'm done with Christmas...and birthdays! (Good thing my kids don't read this!)

**Update** Jill let me know the Target in Sparks does have one aisle of toys marked 75% off. Thanks, Jill!

My Smith's Trip - I was paid $6.00 cash!

My trip to Smith's today was unbelievable...in a very good way.

I had read in the ad last week that if you transfer a prescription (ends 7/31) you get $25.00 store credit. I asked at the pharmacy yesterday if that was still going on and yes, indeed, it was. I had brought a prescription to refill just in case, so I dropped it off.

When I went to do my $1.00 coupon deals today, I checked to see if my prescription was ready. It was and the grand total for the prescription was $2.36, and the $25.00 credit loaded right onto my Smith's card. Woo-hoo!

I wasn't sure if the $25.00 would come off all at once or if the balance would carry over if I spent under $25.00. I decided to spend right around $25.00 after coupons just to be safe. (FYI, it all comes off.)

When I checked out, my balance was in the negative and the cashier actually handed me $6.00 cash back! I have never in my life had that happen before. I was in such a tizzy of excitment that I left my $0.41 in the change dispenser.

Here's what I got:

3 Weber marinade packets - FREE
1 Dawn dish detergent - FREE
2 Bounty paper towels - $0.09 each
3 Frigo string cheese - $1.97 each
1 Kraft sliced cheese - $0.79
1 Safeguard hand soap - $0.50 overage
3 Ivory bar soap 3-pks - FREE
2 Gillette body wash - FREE
2 Old Spice body wash - overage
8 Crest toothpastes - FREE
1 Lady Speed Stick deodorant - $0.12 overage
2 Trident gums - FREE
2 Gallons of milk - $2.29 each
1 dozen eggs - $0.79
4+ pounds of ground beef - $8.80
2 bags Kroger frozen veggies - $0.75 each
1 Ritz crackers - $2.50 (our splurge)
1 Colosomo sausages - FREE (free item coupon)

After all sales, coupons, and my $25.00 credit from the pharmacy my total was NEGATIVE $6.41...and she handed me cash back. UNREAL.

I saved 107%. WHAT? I have never been PAID to buy meat, eggs, cheese, milk, and toothpaste before! Do you hear my smile?

The Smith's deals are HERE if you're interested in doing some of this for yourself.

*I also noticed that the American Beauty Quick Cook pasta is $1.00 with a $0.50 printable coupon HERE...FREE pasta!
